About
The United Sovereignty, god-like leaders with superior power, rule over their Evolved and Unevolved human subjects, boasting an equal society between those with superhuman abilities and those without. But inequalities remain, as favored Evolved prowess is both exalted and feared for its ability to reshape modern society.
As an Evolved citizen herself, eighteen-year-old Payton Daelyn is living through some interesting times. Unevolved citizens fear or worship her, while others of her kind find her Evolved form unusual, even for someone with supernatural abilities. Meanwhile, lineages of ancient Evolved power are crumbling, and no one knows why. But one day, Payton saves a collapsing Evolved ability from destroying her hometown, and she is heralded as a savior for her society's problem. Is Payton truly capable of saving her own people, or is a quieter evil lurking, that is focused on eradicating all Evolved people?
Kai Emerson

Kai Emerson is Payton's best friend, and the two have known each other nearly their whole lives. He is loyal, strong, and unwavering in his dedication to Payton.
Coming from the lineage of Prometheus, Kai has the ability to ignite his own skin and to create animated clay figures that do his bidding. His Evolved form is often described as resembling hot embers that glow orange or white depending on the extent of his firepower.

The main protagonist of the story, Payton Daelyn is quiet, studious, and extremely passionate about science, especially chemistry.
She has a powerful Evo that controls chemical reactions, and her Evolved form assumes the composition of whichever chemical she chooses to engage with. With the ability to control such a basic component of the universe, it is suggested that Payton comes from a primordial lineage, though she is reluctant to admit who her godly ancestor is. Still, it may be the key to resolving the mysterious degradation of Evolved power.
Gideon Atwell

Gideon Atwell is a mysterious boy, who often keeps to himself and shows a lot of resentment for others with Evolved citizens. However, this changes after he sees the extent of what Payton can do with her own Evo, and he feels an unexpected connection with her in how they both possess "destructive" power. But unlike Kai and Payton, Gideon does not know his Evolved lineage. He was adopted by an Unevolved couple at a young age, which may have furthered his misunderstanding of Evolved individuals. That makes him even more dangerous, as his Evo gives him the ability to tear apart objects from the inside out.
