As a woman approaching thirty, Eris Taylor has had enough of the unpredictable in her life. She is ready to focus on her career as a budding ornithologist, and to take steps towards settling down. Then, the unthinkable happens when she finds out she is one of the reincarnations of the Greek gods! With her friends, she is now forced to fight monsters and protect mortal citizens from the overlapping mythological world over their current reality, while preparing for a war with the resurrected Lord Typhon, god of all monsters! Even more unsettling, though, is that, unlike her kin, Eris has yet to embrace her godly identity. Will she reawaken in time to fight Lord Typhon with her allies, or will she find herself pitted against her friends as the doom they all hope to evade?

Eris is an adventurous and free spirit, but is often shackled by fear for the unpredictable things that tend to happen around her. All her life, she has seen supernatural entities shifting in the shadows around her, while, on a few occasions, she too has contributed to unnatural events that have disturbed the real world. As a result, she is a cautious person, who struggles with even trusting herself at times, and she is even more hindered by how few have shown confidence in her. Still, despite what holds her back, she is a generous friend and a very loyal comrade. She draws her strength from having survived traumatic past life events on her own, which leads her to never waver, except for matters of the heart.
